Transformers Prime: A new arrival Chapter 5

A chapter in which Rivet gives even Miko the thrill seeker a shock when he takes her for a fly.

After seven solar cycles of of studying with Ratchet, Rivet decided that it was time to have a bit of fun and to fulfill his promise to Miko.

Miko was playing her guitar, while Bulkhead danced to the beat.
Rivet approached her and Bulkhead and waved.

"Hey you two."

"Hey Rivet." Bulkhead and Miko replied in unison.
Rivet crouched down to be in level with Miko's face.

"Hey Miko, you still want that ride?"

"Duh, let's go." Miko exclaimed.
Rivet smiled.

He asked Ratchet to open a ground bridge and he and Miko went in.
Rivet transformed into his vehicle mode, opened a door for Miko and she stepped inside.
She put on a seatbelt, Rivet closed the door.

"This is going to be SO cool." Miko cried excitedly.
Rivet gained altitude and then took off.
He flew at his maximum speed, while Miko put her arms in the air as if it was a roller coaster ride.

You want a real thrill Miko? I'll give you one, Rivet thought to himself.
Rivet  feigned that his helicopter blades were malfunctioning and stopped rotating them every few nano-kliks.

"Hey Rivet cut that out." Miko complained.

"I can't help it, the blades are glitching."
Miko started to look worried.
Suddenly Rivet plunged towards the ground.

"Miko the blades have failed, brace for impact." Rivet warned Miko.

"Oh no, can't you do something?" Miko asked anxiously.

"I don't know... were going to hit the ground BRACE yourself." Rivet screamed.
2 meters before they hit the ground, Rivet rotated the blades properly and went back into the air instead of crashing.
Miko was breathing hard and fast and then she realised what had happened.

"RIVET YOU SCARED ME!" Miko yelled at Rivet furiously and then wiped the tears from her eyes.

"I'm sorry Miko, but I thought humans scared themselves for entertainment. I was only trying to entertain you." Rivet apologized sincerely.

"Thanks Rivet, don't worry about it, it's just I really thought I was going to die."
Rivet slowed down and then landed. Miko got out and Rivet transformed.
Miko's eyes were still red, so Rivet crouched down and gently hugged her.

"I promise I'll never do it again."
Miko wiped her eyes, smiled and giggled.

"OK... I guess it was kind of cool in the end, I'll definitely remember it well" Miko admitted.

"Oh and please don't tell Bulkhead about it, otherwise he'll turn me into scrap metal." Rivet pleaded.

"It'll be our little secret. You know Rivet there's more than meets the eye about you, you are one fun bot." Miko told Rivet.
The two then called Ratchet and went back to base to get some rest after their exciting joy ride.
